Anniversary Reflections From Our Contributors

To celebrate our one-year anniversary, we wanted to pause and shine a spotlight on the people who helped shape Everyday AI Vibe Magazine over the past year. We reached out to our contributors with two simple asks: to share one small, everyday way AI made their life easier, and to create an AI-generated image of themselves in a style of their choosing—one that reflected who they are. The goal was to capture honest, human moments of how AI shows up in real life, alongside creative representations shaped by the people behind the ideas.

Their reflections reinforce what this magazine has explored all year: the most impactful uses of AI aren’t always the loudest or most complex—they’re often the ones that quietly support our work, spark creativity, and make everyday life a little easier.

What follows are their words—and their chosen representations—capturing the everyday reality of AI in action.

Brad Ball

The biggest everyday win has been speed; AI has turned the heavy lifting of research and proposal drafting from a multi-hour grind into a quick, polished task.

Clay Lehman

AI has NOT made my life easier, but it has made it better. AI has expanded my capabilities to such a large degree that I am able to do way more with way less, but I find myself doing more because I can. It has created work for me but in the most fun way possible. My creativity has expanded as has my access to technical support. I can build at levels never before possible in human history. So I would say it has made my life better more than it has made it easier.

Eve Whitaker

AI has made my everyday life simpler by turning curiosity into instant learning—if I’m stuck or can’t figure something out, I just take a photo, upload it to ChatGPT, and keep moving. It lets me learn new tools in real time instead of getting frustrated or stalled.

Jason Webb

When I’m stuck between a few options, I can lay them out and have AI help me think through pros, cons, and second-order effects. It helps separate emotion from wisdom. That pause often keeps me from rushing into something misaligned and gives me room to choose with intention instead of pressure.

Jonathan Mast

AI has made my life better by giving me the ability to take immediate action on those brilliant thoughts that enter my mind. Ones that I used to take notes of and never get back to. With AI, I get to act on them quickly and decisively.

Jordan Aspen

AI helps me get unstuck fast! One of my favorite things to do is to quickly have AI generate something I know it will mess up so I can say “That’s not what I meant at all!” When it does a bad job, that tricks my brain, jump-starting my creative process and giving me some momentum to my work. The energy to fix or criticize something is so different from creating something ex nihilo, so being able to flip my productivity into a different energy is life changing.

Paul Aspen

AI has enabled me to write far more effectively on my creative projects. While previously it could be difficult to get into a writing groove or nurture the creative spark, AI enables me to sink into the role of editor instead of drafter for my writing. Being able to thus write productively no matter the mood — while still feeling free to be a whimsical creative — feels like cheating in a good way, and is so encouraging. Gone are the days of setting an hour aside to write and then not feeling it!

Ronda Taylor

As someone who lives and works while traveling, AI has made my life easier by helping me think through schedules, time zones, and details before they pile up — so I can stay grounded instead of overwhelmed.

Warren Schuitema

As a parent managing a home business and ‘noisy little bosses,’ the greatest gift AI gave me this year wasn’t just data; it was the cognitive offloading of the ‘mental load,’ turning a scattered fridge-list of ingredients into a nutritious family meal plan in seconds with my customGPTs, so I could spend those extra ten minutes actually being present with my kids. Or using AI to vibe code a game with my oldest daughter, and create countless songs using Suno based on conversations we had at the dinner table – those have given us hours of creating fun together.
